Makawanpur Workshop Proceedings: Interaction with enforcement agencies on illegal trade and sustainable use of medicinal orchids of Nepal

Enforcement agencies are an important pillar of controlling illegal trade. In August 2022, we organized an interactive workshop in collaboration with the Division Forest Office, Makawanpur, where we shared our preliminary results with the district-level Wildlife Crime Control Bureau (WCCB). The workshop provided a platform for the WCCB members to share their insights on the illegal orchid trade and the challenges they faced. This is expected to help enforcement agencies in Makawanpur prioritize actions against the illegal orchid trade and effective CITES implementation.
