Initiated in 2015 by Greenhood Nepal, the annual Nepal Pangolin Roundtable brings diverse stakeholders to discuss the pangolin conservation challenges and possible solutions in Nepal.
The 10th Nepal Pangolin Roundtable was conducted at Madi in Chitwan National Park in collaboration with Panchpandav Buffer Zone User Committee. There was active participation from various stakeholders, including park officials, local communities, security personnel from the Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, Nepal Police, and elected local government representatives. Opportunities and challenges of pangolin conservation in the region were enthusiastically discussed. As the first and unique experience for the local community and officials, the interaction yielded positive results and renewed commitment for pangolin conservation programs in Madi, Chitwan.
