Birds are widely admired, but many are traded illegally around the world threatening their survival in the wild. This includes Nepal, where illegal trapping and selling of birds becoming a serious challenge in the conservation of wild birds. This Policy Brief highlights Nepal’s illegal wild bird trade and summarizes key information that concerned agencies must recognize in order to prioritize action to curb this emerging issue.
