Turtle spp. are highly due to habitat degradation, overharvest and illegal trade. However, they are often not prioritized for conservation in Nepal. Understanding the site-specific species conservation challenges helps to develop and implement effective conservation measures. This study documents the status, underlying threats and conservation challenges of turtles in Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve (KTWR).
