Position 1: Research Associate
Location: Kathmandu, with frequent field visits
Duration: One year (with possible extension)
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Support the design and implementation of Greenhood Nepal’s wildlife research and conservation programs
- Proactively identify, develop, communicate and manage relationships with local communities, project partners, and field staff
- Collect data, information, maintain database, prepare required reports and memos, and publish research findings
- Plan and arrange necessary meetings, workshops, and other events
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Greenhood Nepal
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s in Forestry, Zoology, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum one year in wildlife conservation. Prior experience with pangolin research and conservation is an advantage.
- Skills & Competencies: The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in wildlife conservation, proficiency in social and ecological data collection, analysis and publications.

Position 2: Operations Assistant
Location: Kathmandu
Duration: One year (with possible extension)
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Support in managing office operations, maintaining records and field mobilisations of the team
- Monitor office supplies, manage logistics, and assist in procurement processes
- Support the preparation of payment vouchers, invoices, and financial reports
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial and administrative records and prepare reports.
- Provide overall operational support for the smooth implementation of Greenhood Nepal’s programs
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Greenhood Nepal
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience: At least one year of experience in a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Skills & Competencies: The ideal candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software and have good communication skills. A car/motorbike driving licence is mandatory.
