We are thrilled to share that Greenhood Nepal’s work in combating illegal wildlife trade and protecting pangolins has been featured in the BBC’s prestigious ASIA series, narrated by Sir David Attenborough. The documentary series highlights conservationists across the continent who are using innovative strategies to safeguard wildlife, and we are honored to be part of this global platform.
Episode 7, titled Saving Asia, showcases the inspiring efforts of eight individuals working to protect endangered species. Our segment, airing from 36:40 to 43:00 minutes, captures the work we are doing on the ground to dismantle the illegal wildlife trade and raise awareness about the importance of pangolin conservation. Last year, the BBC crew visited us to document our initiatives, providing a rare opportunity to share our efforts with a worldwide audience.
For a youth-led conservation organization like Greenhood Nepal, being featured in such a renowned series is both humbling and motivating. It underscores the importance of grassroots conservation efforts and the impact that dedicated individuals can have in protecting vulnerable species.
The series is being broadcast worldwide on BBC One and BBC Earth and is available for streaming in the UK on BBC iPlayer. You can watch the episode here: Saving Asia – BBC ASIA Series.
We are immensely grateful to our advisors, partners, and donors whose support makes our work possible. Their trust and contributions help us continue our mission to protect Nepal’s threatened wildlife and ecosystems. This recognition from the BBC reinforces our commitment to conservation, and we hope it will inspire more people to join the movement to protect wildlife. Together, we can create lasting change!
