Mukesh is a post-doctoral fellow at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, USA, with a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Physics and Atmospheric Environment from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
A CAS-TWAS President’s Ph.D. awardee, Mukesh has worked as a Modelling Consultant and Research Assistant at the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) and helped establish an air pollutant monitoring station at high elevation. He also served as a junior program officer at SNV-Nepal and worked as an intern at MinEgy-Nepal. His research interest lies in performing pollution studies by leveraging model simulation, satellite, reanalysis, and observation datasets.
Mukesh is also an outdoor enthusiast who loves hiking and photography and, at times, can also be found playing ukulele and mumbling indie folk songs.
