Conservation Technology Lead
Gyanendra Acharya is the Conservation Technology Lead at Greenhood, where he bridges innovation to save threatened biodiversity and combat illegal wildlife trade. He also manages Greenhood’s crucial databases, optimizing data collection and analysis to support research and policy advocacy.
His dual focus on technology and data comes from his robust engineering background. He holds a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering from Kathmandu University and an MSc from the University of Aberdeen (Scotland), as a Chevening Scholar under the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office program.
Beyond conservation, Gyanendra is a football enthusiast and occasionally contributes analytical articles for magazines and online media outlets. His interest in nature also reflects on his another passion for travelling – exploring new landscapes and cultures.
